Moscow, March 21 (RFE/RL) -- A delegation from Russia's
Federation Council plans an official visit to Belarus on Friday and
Saturday. It will be the first foreign trip of a delegation from the
newly-formed upper house of the Russian parliament.
The Russian delegation, headed by Speaker Yegor Stroyev, plans to meet Belorussian Parliament Chairman Semyon Sharetsky and Belorussian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka. The two sides are scheduled to sign an agreement on inter-parliamentary co-operation.
