Pakistani officials say a suicide bombing has killed one soldier and wounded several others outside a security checkpoint in the South Waziristan tribal region.
Local offical Jawed Marwat said the incident took place on July 24 near Model Market in the Chakmalai area, which is near the Afghan border.
The tribal region has been the focus of a year-long military operation aimed at removing insurgent activity.
