Afghan Policeman Killed In Attack On Governor's Office

One policeman was gunned down and three civilians were wounded on the night of August 14-15, when Taliban insurgents attacked government offices in central Afghanistan.

Officials said on August 15 that four insurgents were killed in the assault on the governor's office in the Qarabagh district of Ghazni province.

In a separate incident, a remote-controlled explosion injured three civilians in front of a mosque in Lashkar Gah, the capital of the volatile Helmand province.
