Thousands of Syrian Kurds have crossed into northern Iraq in recent days, fleeing threats from the hardline Al Nusra Front, one of the main rebel groups opposing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Iraqi officials said as many as 14,000 refugees had entered Iraq in just two days. Some refugees said that the Al Nusra Front is carrying out brutal attacks against Syrian Kurds. (Reuters)
