Thousands of nationalists rallied in Moscow on November 4 as part of a "Russian March" marking Unity Day, an official holiday that celebrates the defeat of Polish invaders in 1612. Several demonstrators were detained for refusing to remove their black balaclavas. Unity Day marches have previously been marred by attacks against ethnic minorities and migrant workers.
