Former Prime Minister Imran Khan led a convoy of vehicles and supporters in Peshawar on May 25 heading for the capital, Islamabad, to protest against Pakistan's new government and to push for early elections. The government blocked the main roads leading to Islamabad to prevent Khan's supporters from entering the capital. Khan, who held power for three years, was ousted following a no-confidence vote in parliament on April 10.
