Nine NATO soldiers have been killed in a helicopter crash in southern Afghanistan.
One soldier from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), an Afghan National Army soldier, and a U.S. civilian were injured in the crash.
A Taliban spokesman, Yusuf Ahmadi, claimed the insurgents shot the helicopter down and killed "more than 10 foreign soldiers."
ISAF said the cause of the crash was "under investigation." It said there were no reports of enemy fire in the area.
ISAF did not disclose the nationalities of the dead troops or release further details on where the crash took place.
The crash was one of the deadliest incidents for the 150,000 ISAF troops this year.
