"Tehran Emrouz," a conservative newspaper in Iran, has been banned by authorities for publishing articles deemed critical of President Mahmud Ahmadinejad, according to Iran's official IRNA news agency.
The ban occurred after the newspaper published a special issue on the third anniversary of Ahmadinejad's election that contained criticism of Iran's economic policies.
A number of media outlets have closed during Ahmadinejad's presidency.
Earlier this month, the semi-official Fars news agency was closed temporarily after being accused by authorities of spreading lies and disturbing public opinion for reporting on the replacement of Iran's central bank chief.
In February, authorities shut down "Zanan," an influential monthly women's magazine, for "damaging society" and painting a gloomy picture of life in the Islamic Republic.
