An Iranian nuclear physicist killed by a bomb earlier this week has been buried in Tehran.
Masud Ali Mohammadi, a particle physics professor at Tehran University, was killed when a bomb exploded outside his home early on January 12.
Reports say more than 1,000 mourners attended the funeral ceremonies.
Some mourners reportedly shouted "Death to Israel" or "Death to America" during the funeral procession, while local media report that some mourners associated with the country's opposition movement brought green banners to the burial.
An early claim of responsibility reported in Iranian media has been dismissed as bogus by a spokesman for the political group, Association of Iran's Monarchy, on whose website the claim appeared.
Iranian officials have accused the United States and Israel of being behind the attack and suggested the victim was a "staunch" conservative.
But other reports -- including from a man who claimed to be a student of Mohammadi's -- suggest Mohammadi had been a vocal supporter of the opposition cause in the wake of Iran's disputed June election.
