More Than 100 Reported Killed In Fire In Bangladesh Capital

Authorities in Bangladesh say more than 100 people have been killed and more than 100 others injured in a massive fire in the capital, Dhaka.

Officials said the blaze was believed to have been started by an explosion at an electrical transformer late on June 3.

Reports say the fire spread to residential and commercial buildings in a densely populated area of the capital and burned for some three hours before being put out by fire crews.

Victims of the blaze are reported to include people who were attending a wedding party on the roof of one of the buildings hit by the fire.
