India and Pakistan have said their foreign ministers will meet in Islamabad in July as part of efforts to get abandoned peace talks back on track.
Indian Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna told reporters after a telephone call with Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi that Qureshi invited him to go Islamabad on July 15.
Qureshi has confirmed that he extended the invitation to his Indian counterpart.
India broke off a comprehensive peace dialogue with Pakistan after the Mumbai attacks in November 2008 that left 166 people dead.
The July talks will be the third major contact between the countries in six months.
The two states have fought three wars since the subcontinent's 1947 partition.
