Seven foreign troops have been killed in three separate attacks in Afghanistan.
Three soldiers with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed by a roadside bomb in the western part of the country, while a fourth died in a similar attack in a southern province.
Three other foreign soldiers were killed in two separate suspected insurgent attacks in the southern and eastern regions.
ISAF did not give any further details on the attacks or the nationality of the victims.
This year has been the deadliest for international troops in the nine-year Afghan conflict, with more than 35 foreign troops killed this month alone.
In other news, the parliament of NATO-member Latvia extended for a further year the mandate of its 175 troops in ISAF.
The pro-Russia left-wing opposition voted against extending the mandate, citing Latvia's deep economic crisis.
Latvia, a former Soviet republic of 2.2 million people, first sent troops to Afghanistan in February 2003. Four Latvian soldiers have died since then.
