Seven Reported Killed By Bombing In Baghdad's Sadr City

Evidence of an earlier bombing in Sadr City, the site of much of Baghdad's violence.

At least seven people have been reported killed and more than 20 others injured in a car bomb explosion in the mainly Shi'ite Sadr City area of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

The blast is reported to have occurred late on May 12 near a cafe in an area popular with young people.

The blast came after more than 110 people were reported killed and hundreds of others injured in Iraq on May 10 in a series of attacks suspected of being launched by Sunni Al-Qaeda militants.

The attacks follow the reported death of the leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq in a joint U.S.-Iraqi operation in April.
