Suicide Bomber Kills Two Police In Daghestan

The Russian Interior Ministry's press service says two traffic police officers were killed and another seven were wounded today when a suicide bomber blew up his car in Daghestan.

The bomber reportedly detonated the device just after his car passed a security checkpoint.

Daghestan, along with the other North Caucasus republics of Ingushetia and Chechnya, sees frequent attacks from Islamist separatists who are seeking to break away from Moscow and create an Islamic caliphate in the region.
