Suspected Killer Extradited To Kazakhstan From North Caucasus

ASTANA -- A murder suspect was transferred from Chechnya to Kazakhstan on December 9.

Oleg Evloev, 28, is suspected of killing the family of a Kazakh businessman in the capital, Astana, in October. He was apprehended in Ingushetia one week after the murder and taken to Grozny, Chechnya.

The businessman's wife and three young children were killed in the crime. A large sum of money and a car were also stolen from the home.

Kazakh Deputy Interior Minister Kalmukhambet Kasymov personally led the group of Kazakh police bringing Evloev to Astana.

He told RFE/RL's Kazakh Service that the suspect was detained due to the close cooperation of Ingush and Chechen officials.
