U.S. Missile Strike Kills Five In Pakistan

Five militants are reported to have been killed in a suspected U.S. drone attack in northwestern Pakistan.

Pakistani intelligence officials say the drone targeted a house in Datta Khel, in the North Waziristan tribal area.

Insurgents control the area and regularly launch cross-border attacks against NATO troops in Afghanistan.

AP says it is the fourteenth such U.S. attack this month.

Analysts says most of the strikes have targeted forces led by Jalaluddin Haqqani, a commander once supported by Pakistan and the United States during the war against the Soviets in Afghanistan.
