'Where Did He Learn To Tell Such Big Lies?'

Iran has severely restricted the ability of foreign media to report from Tehran, necessitating a greater reliance on the reports of citizen journalists and impassioned listeners. While every effort has been made to do so, RFE/RL cannot vouch for the accuracy or authenticity of user-generated content, which appears below in orange type.

Voicemails sent to Radio Farda on June 29:

I wanted to say to the Guardians Council that today you are passing the biggest inspection of your time, so judge fairly and do not sell your faith to this world. Do not sell your faith to those who are far from God.

I want to ask where Mr. Musavi is. Why doesn't he appear in the street?

**

I wanted to say: Mr. Khamenei, who says do not play with the youth's emotions, where has he learned to tell such big lies!?
He was the first person who played with the young people and encouraged them to take part in the vote, and then he was the first person who ordered the suppression of the youth in Friday Prayers last week. He played first with their emotions and he played with their lives.

**

These people who called themselves successor of the Hidden Imam, if he was here today they would kill him as well. Unfortunately, there are some people who support Ahmadinejad and the leader, but I want to ask them, until when?

**

I think these British Embassy staffers who have been arrested will come in the next few days on state TV and repeat the text that they have been told to say and the regime will use it as an excuse for their problems. It is very clear that when lying is one of the principles of their religion, the results of this election were clear in advance.

The elections in Iran posses a symbolic importance. There is no need left for people to participate. Mind you; no matter what, the next president will be [Gholam Ali] Haddad-Adel.

**

Iran is an Islamic country and superpower of Asia, our country simply can stand up to America, and from military power we have highly developed missiles and also atomic energy.

**

I believe those employees of the British Embassy who are Iranian are going to be taken by these forces and tortured for critical information, which they shall only reveal in a way that they have been previously told by their agents. The government would use these so-called confessions as propaganda against Britain.

**

I wanted to tell Mr. Khamenei and Ahmadinejad that while it is their so-called right to intervene in the affairs of other countries such as Libya, Palestine, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Israel, how come no one is entitled to ask you the reason behind the killings of your own nation, those who are only asking for their rights and their votes? After manipulating their votes, are you now trying to shut them up with bullets? This is not fair. Fear your God. I can see troubled days ahead of you.

Greetings to you; the respectable nation of Iran.
I am quite surprised to see although the Islamic Republic of Iran doesn't permit any journalists to cover the incidents in Iran, why then the government-influenced Iranian Broadcasting journalists are scattered across the globe and cover whatever news is in the favor of the government.
Fight fire with fire; in my opinion, all the Iranian consulates and embassies all around the world have to be shut and their journalists banished, hence to see some improvement!!!
