A roadside bombing in Afghanistan's Kandahar Province has killed at least 10 civilians and injured at least 12.
Provincial police and officials blamed Taliban insurgents for the bombing on May 13 that took place in the Arghistan district.
Provincial police chief Abdul Raziq said the victims were traveling to the funeral of two people who were killed by a similar blast a few days ago.
He said there were women and children among the victims.
The bombing was the latest violence to occur since the Taliban announced late last month that they have launched their annual "spring offensive" to oust the U.S.-backed government of President Hamid Karzai.
It comes as Afghan security forces are taking over responsibility for fighting the Taliban and NATO-led troops prepare to leave the country by the end of 2014.
