Shi’ite worshipers in Afghanistan have been targeted by another deadly attack during the Muslim festival of Ashura. At least 14 people were killed on October 12 when a bomb exploded outside a mosque in the northern province of Balkh. The attack came less than 24 hours after the Islamic State extremist group claimed responsibility for an earlier attack on a shrine in the capital, Kabul, that killed 19 people. (AP video)
