Afghan presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah has claimed victory in the country's disputed election, saying that preliminary results giving his rival Ashraf Ghani the lead are fraudulent. Abdullah's supporters tore down a portrait of outgoing President Hamid Karzai at the Loya Jirga (Grand Assembly) hall in Kabul on July 8 and replaced it with a banner of Abdullah. (Reuters)
