Thousands of Afghans marched in Kabul on January 23 to protest against depictions of the Prophet Muhammad in the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. Protests have been taking place across the Muslim world since the French weekly's latest issue, in which a cartoon shows Muhammad shedding a tear, a reference to the deadly attack on the magazine's Paris offices on January 7.
