ISAF: Two Soldiers Killed By Shooters In Police Uniforms

A statement by the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF) says that two NATO soldiers have been killed by assailants dressed in Afghan police uniforms.

The statement did not identify the nationalities of the slain soldiers and said it remains unknown whether the assailants were actually Afghan police officers or insurgents posing as police.

The attack came in an unspecified location in southern Afghanistan.

Earlier, Afghan officials said one British soldier was killed and another injured when two Afghan police police open fire on them at a base in southern Helmand Province.

The Afghan offical also said one of the shooters was killed and the other injured in the incident.

On May 6, an ISAF soldier was killed by a man in an Afghan Army uniform.
