Midair Collision Kills Four Pakistani Pilots

Officials in Pakistan say two Pakistani air force planes have collided in midair, killing all four pilots onboard the aircraft and leaving several people on the ground injured.

Officials said the crash occurred on May 17 during a routine training mission northwest of Islamabad.

Reports said one of the two-seater planes crashed in a residential area in the town of Rashakai in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, injuring several people on the ground.

The second aircraft fell in nearby fields.

The cause of the incident was not immediately clear.

It is the second Pakistani Air Force crash in a week, and the sixth in the past seven months.
