Alleged U.S. Missiles Hit Pakistan, Reportedly Killing 15 Militants

Pakistani intelligence officials say suspected U.S. missile strikes have killed at least 15 militants in a tribal region along the Afghan border.

As many as six missiles reportedly destroyed a vehicle and compound in the village of Shera Tala in the Mir Ali district of North Waziristan.

At least 110 such missile strikes have been launched this year -- more than doubling last year's total.

Nearly all have landed in North Waziristan, a region that hosts several militant groups battling U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan, including the feared Haqqani network.
