Armenia and Britain are discussing defense cooperation among "a range of global and regional issues of mutual concern," as part of a "strategic dialogue" launched during Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan's visit to London this week. A joint statement issued following a first meeting on November 13, said it was "an opportunity to mark the strong cooperation and friendship between our two democracies." Bilateral defense cooperation "continues to expand," the statement said. It added that Britain "will soon begin working to support Armenia's border management capacities to tackle security and migration issues."
