At Least 4 Dead In Tehran Dust Storm

At least four people have been killed and 30 others injured when a dust storm hit the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Iranian news agencies reported that the storm roared into the city on June 2 with winds of up to 110 kilometers per hour.

The storm caused temporary power outages in some districts and broke trees.

State television said it also caused international flights to be canceled and caused a chain-reaction crash on a highway south of the capital with 20 vehicles.

Authorities have asked children, the elderly, and those with heart problems to remain indoors.

The report said strong winds also engulfed parts of central Iran, but there were no reports of any casualties.
