At Least One Dead In Fire At Iranian Petrochemical Plant

A fire at Iran's biggest petrochemical plant has reportedly killed at least one person and injured 16 others.

Governor Manoochehr Hayati in the southwestern city of Mahshahr says a gas leak at a supply line of the Imam Khomeini Petrochemical Complex was the cause of the fire.

The semi-official Fars news agency quoted Hayati as saying that the fire had been extinguished and factory operations had not been interrupted.

The factory produces oil derivatives.
