At Least Six Police Officers Killed In Southwestern Pakistan

Gunmen have attacked a police post in southwestern Pakistan, killing at least six officers.

Officials said the attack took place in Balochistan Province's Khuzdar district on May 25.

Officers manning the post belonged to the Levies force, a pro-government paramilitary force in Balochistan.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Balochistan Province has been the scene of violence perpetrated by Islamic radicals, as well as by Baluch separatist rebels, since 2004.

Thousands have been killed and hundreds of people have disappeared over the years.
