Baghdad Car Bomb Kills At Least 14 People

Iraqi men inspect the site of a car bomb explosion that killed at least seven people and wounded dozens in the neighborhood of Ur in eastern Baghdad late on September 22.

A car bomb in the Iraqi capital has killed at least 14 people and wounded more than 30.

Police said the car exploded on a busy commercial street in Baghdad’s eastern Shi’ite neighborhood of Sadr City on September 23.

Islamic State militants have claimed responsibility for several suicide bombings in Baghdad.

Iraqi and Kurdish forces backed by U.S. and French warplanes are battling Islamic State fighters, who have seized large parts of northern and western Iraq in recent months.
