U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is holding talks with Indian leaders after arriving for a four-day visit.
Biden met on July 23 with his Indian counterpart Hamid Ansari and is also meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Pranab Mukherjee.
His trip is aimed at calming Indian fears over the exit of U.S. troops from Afghanistan and to capitalize on growing business opportunities.
New Delhi has sent $2 billion in aid to Afghanistan and fears a Taliban resurgence after international forces leave next year.
Biden is the first U.S. vice president to visit India in three decades.
Biden and Indian leaders are expected to discuss hurdles to trade and restrictions on U.S. companies that do business in India.
