Bin Laden Family 'To Be Deported' From Pakistan Next Week

A lawyer to Osama bin Laden's family in Pakistan said the widows and children of the slain Al-Qaeda leader will be deported to Saudi Arabia next week.

A court in Pakistan has sentenced bin Laden's three widows -- two from Saudi Arabia and one from Yemen -- along with two of his daughters to 45 days' house arrest for illegally entering and residing in Pakistan.

Lawyer Mohammed Amir Khalil says the family will be deported on April 18, one day after they finish serving their sentences.

They were detained by Pakistani security forces after a secret U.S. special forces raid killed bin Laden in the Pakistani town of Abbottabad, some 50 kilometers northeast of Islamabad, in May 2011.

The family is currently in custody in Islamabad.
