Bomb Kills Four In Northern Afghan City Amid Security Handover

A bomb attack in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-e Sharif killed four people and wounded about 10 others on July 20.

Police said explosives carried by a man on a bicycle were detonated in the Dasht-i-Shor area. It was not immediately clear if the man was a suicide bomber.

Mazar-e Sharif is in one of seven areas of Afghanistan where security operations are being handed over to Afghan government troops this week as part of a gradual withdrawal by the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force.
