Bosnian state television has reported that about 2,000 people attended a joint funeral for 11 Muslim civilians who were killed by Bosnian Serbs during the country’s 1992-1995 war.
The remains of the victims -- 10 males and a 24-year-old woman -- were found in mass graves near the eastern town of Zvornik and recently identified.
They were laid to rest at the cemetery in Stara Kalesija, a village near Zvornik, where about 650 Muslims killed during the war are buried.
In 1992, Bosnian Serbs backed by the former Yugoslav People's Army seized mainly Muslim eastern Bosnia, which includes Zvornik, and attacked non-Serb inhabitants.
