Car Bomb Kills At Least 10 In Pakistani Market

A car bomb has exploded at a market in northwest Pakistan, killing at least 10 people, eight of them reportedly Shi'ite Muslims, and wounding more than 20 others.

The explosion occurred at the Kashmir Bazar in Parachinar, the main town in Kurram, one of the seven agencies that make up the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).

Mujahid Khan of the Edhi ambulance service confirmed at least 10 deaths from the blast but added "the death toll may rise as many injured are in critical condition."

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but Taliban militants regularly carry out attacks in the region, where tensions betwen Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims run high.
