Chinese Premier Vows To Boost Strategic Ties With Pakistan

Visiting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has described his country as Pakistan's "all-weather strategic partner."

Wen was wrapping up his three-day visit to Islamabad by addressing a joint session of Pakistan's parliament.

He said the intent of both countries is to strengthen strategic ties.

He also praised Pakistan's efforts to control terrorism, saying it deserves respect from the international commmunity.

Business leaders and cabinet ministers formalized around $35 billion worth of trade deals during Wen's visit.

He was scheduled to return home after the speech.
