Ex-CIA Agent Sentenced To Prison In Algeria Sex Assault Case

A former CIA station chief has been sentenced to nearly 5 1/2 years in jail in the United States for sexually assaulting a woman on U.S. Embassy property in Algeria.

The ex-agent, Andrew Warren, 43, admitted in a plea arrangement that he raped the woman in February 2008, after making her unconscious.

The U.S. Justice Department said in a press release that Warren had also pleaded guilty to drug and illegal weapons charges.

The judge in the case, which was heard in U.S. federal court in Washington, also ordered that Warren be placed on 10 years of probation upon completion of his prison term.
