The death toll in a plane crash in Democratic Republic of Congo has risen to 127, according to the country's Transportation Ministry, which also said 51 people survived the crash.
The plane crashed as it tried to land in bad weather at Kisangani international airport.
A ministry spokesman said the airline, Hewa Bora, had earlier underestimated the number of people on the plane.
Hewa Bora is on a European Union list of airlines banned due to security concerns, as are all carriers certified in the country.
The country has one of the worst air-safety records in the world.
