Dozens Killed In Pakistan Traffic Accidents

At least 24 people have been killed and scores more injured in two traffic accidents in Pakistan.

In the first crash on November 24, at least 16 people died when a passenger bus collided with a lorry in a mountainous area of northwestern Pakistan.

Officials said the accident happened as the bus travelled from the port city of Karachi to the northwestern town of Swabi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

In the second accident on the same day, eight passengers died when their coach crashed in Dadu in the province of southern Sindh.

Pakistan has one of the world's worst records for fatal traffic accidents, which has been blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles, and reckless driving.
