Fighters affiliated with the extremist Islamic State (IS) group have reportedly kidnapped some 50 men from a Sunni village north of Baghdad.
Residents of Tal Ali village in Kirkuk Province said the men were driven away on trucks on September 4.
The villagers had burned an IS flag after the militants withdrew from Tal Ali on September 3.
The militants returned the following day.
It is not the first time IS fighters, who control vast swaths of northern and western Iraq, have carried out mass kidnappings in the country.
Human Rights Watch says they killed at least 560 men captured when they overran the city of Tikrit in June.
Also on September 4, Reuters reported that a car bomb killed 12 people and wounded 30 in Baghdad's mainly Shi'ite Kadhmiya neighborhood.
