Drone Strike In Northwest Pakistan Kills Six Militants

Intelligence officials say a drone strike has killed six militants in northwest Pakistan near the Afghan border.

The suspected U.S. drone fired two missiles at two cars in the Dogga area of North Waziristan tribal region on January 12.

It was the second attack in as many days after the resumption of the unacknowledged U.S. drone campaign.

The attacks were halted for about six weeks due to tension with Pakistan after 24 soldiers were killed by a NATO airstrike upon Pakistani border post in November.

A similar attack on January 11 killed four militants in North Waziristan.
