Health officials in Egypt say four people have been killed in clashes between supporters of ousted Islamist President Muhammad Morsi and security forces.
The four were killed on October 4 in Cairo. Forty others were wounded nationwide.
Clashes broke out when hundreds of Morsi's supporters tried to converge on Cairo's Tahrir Square.
Two other rallies were held in the capital -- including one at Rabaa el-Adawiyah Mosque in the city’s east, where a pro-Morsi protest camp was violently dismantled in August.
Clashes have also been reported in the northern port city of Alexandria, and the coastal city of Suez.
Earlier on October 4, at least two Egyptian soldiers were killed in an attack by suspected militants on an army convoy east of Cairo.
