Police in Estonia have detained a longtime security official and his wife on suspicion of spying for Russia.
Prosecutors said Aleksei Dressen, who works for Estonia's security police, and his wife, Viktoria Dressen, were arrested at Tallinn airport as she was boarding a flight to Moscow on February 22.
A spokeswoman for the prosecution, Kadri Tammai, said Aleksei Dressen went to the airport to give his wife a folder that contained classified information.
Viktoria Dressen allegedly worked as a courier, forwarding information to Russia's main security agency, the Federal Security Service (FSB).
Estonia, which regained its independence in 1991 after 50 years of rule by Moscow, has chilly relations Russia and spying incidents are not rare.
