Chinese President Xi Jinping is demanding "decisive action" against terrorism be taken after an attack at a train station in China's Xinjiang Province left three dead and at least 79 injured.
Witnesses said two bomb blasts hit the station in Urumqi, the regional capital, on April 30, just as Xi finished a four-day visit to the area.
Xi said in statements published in newspapers that "decisive action must be taken to resolutely suppress the terrorists' rampant momentum."
The far western Xinjiang Province has been the scene of several bomb blasts and other attacks in a region that is home to ethnic Uyghurs, many of whom are unhappy with Chinese rule and say they are being repressed by ethnic Chinese.
