Tajik journalist Khairullo Mirsaidov says he's "determined" to continue writing about his country's problems after being released from prison. In a case widely seen as politically motivated, Mirsaidov had been sentenced to 12 years in prison after writing about government corruption. Mirsaidov told RFE/RL's Tajik Service, the charges against him were "baseless" and called on all Tajiks to fight for a "normal country."
