Russia's state-owned gas giant Gazprom has announced it expects to ship less gas to Europe this year.
Gazprom said on June 3 that it plans to export some 158.4 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas to Europe in 2014, down slightly from the 161.5 bcm it shipped to Europe in 2013.
Gazprom also noted it supplied some 59.4 bcm to CIS countries and the Baltic states last year.
Gazprom said the average price it charged customers in Europe and Turkey for gas in 2013 was some $387 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas. For customers in the CIS, the price was $272 per 1,000 cubic meters.
Gazprom's release of figures comes as the company is in talks with Ukraine about gas supplies and price.
Gazprom is demanding Ukraine pay some $485 per 1,000 cubic meters.
