During a visit to Tbilisi, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev has said his country supports Georgia's territorial integrity.
Speaking on October 13 after talks with Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Atambaev also said that any dispute must be solved by negotiations rather than by military confrontation.
Russia recognized Georgia's breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independent states after a short war with Georgia in August 2008. Moscow has been keeping its military forces in the two separatist regions since then.
Atambaev started his two-day visit to Tbilisi late on October 12.
Margvelashvili described the visit as "historic."
