Gunmen Opens Fire In Istanbul, Wounds Two People

The shooting reportedly took place in the vicinity of Topkapi Palace.

Turkish media reports say a man armed with a shotgun opened fire in a tourist district of Istanbul on November 30, wounding two people.

Police evacuated and sealed off the area near the Ottoman-era Topkapi Palace.

Security forces killed the gunman after he refused to surrender. Turkey's Interior Minister Naim Sahin was quoted as saying the gunman was a Libyan national who entered Turkey three days ago.

No possible motive was given for the attack.

Media reports said a soldier and a private security guard were injured in the attack.
