Imprisoned Crimean Activist Transferred To Penal Colony In Russia

A citizen journalist and nurse, Iryna Danylovych, who in 2021 was sentenced to seven years in prison by Russian-installed authorities in Ukraine's Moscow-annexed Crimea, has been transferred to a penal colony in the Russian region of Stavropol Krai. The activist's father, Bronyslav Danylovych, told RFE/RL on August 14 that guards had not allowed his daughter, who has a medical condition, to take medicine with her to the penal colony in the town of Zelenokumsk.
