Iran Conducts Military Exercises Along Its Southern Coast

An Iranian news agency has published video of military exercises by the country's marines and army units along Iran's southern coast. The pro-government Tasnim news agency said it shot the footage on January 28 during an exercise near the city of Konarak on the Gulf of Oman. The report said that the exercises shown in the footage took place during the second day of three days of major maneuvers to test the country's coastal defenses. Iran's navy said it warned a U.S. warship on January 27 to leave waters near the Strait of Hormuz while they were testing submarines, destroyers, and missile launchers. (Tasnim)
