Iranian President Hassan Rohani says Tehran will not accept "scientific and nuclear apartheid" in its negotiations with six world powers over its controversial nuclear program.
Rohani said in remarks broadcast on state television on May 11 that his country offers transparency in its dealings with British, French, German, Russian, Chinese, and U.S. officials but said Iran's "nuclear technology is not up for negotiation."
The multinational talks, which aim to find a permanent agreement curbing Iran's nuclear activities, are due to resume on May 13.
A temporary, six-month deal that was signed by Iran and the six countries that limits Iran's nuclear program in exchange for the easing of economic sanctions is due to expire in July.
Iranian hard-liners have increasingly criticized Rohani for offering to give up too much while gaining too little from the West in the deal.
